Welcome to Pell City, Alabama. Starting July 25, 2006, I will not be posting, or even trying to post on a daily basis. PC is a great place, and I don't want to quit altogether. Instead, I'll just try to improve the quality of the site and I'll try to post when I have a good picture or story to tell. Thank you so very much for the encouragement and kind remarks you have given me.

It appears that a small feeder branch to Wolf Creek is about go underground.
As I predicted last July, the Interstate Highway through Pell City is now open with six lanes. Drivers are barreling through at break-neck speeds, even though the posted speed limit is still just 55 (that's 88 for those of you who use the simpler, more logical, more international and, apparently, shorter system of measurement).
Your inconsistent photoblogger recently celebrated a birthday ending with 0. The party was a blast and I wish you all had been there. At one point in the evening Randy, Bob, Lynn and Randall came over to play and sing some great Bluegrass. I admit, I don't know many Bluegrass titles, but it is always fun to listen to, especially when performed by talented musicians such as these Pell City folks. Thanks to my favorite photographer for throwing the party and for taking this picture for me. Added 1/23/2006: experiment:
